Zeos little green

Our own little, green handbook that will help us make the world a slightly better place.

Just to say it first and last: this is not our sustainability report. We are still working on that. Zeos little green, on the other hand, is our own handbook with a set of rules of conduct that we have committed to working by, and that can help us when we concretize our sustainability goals.

Maybe it can be an inspiration for you too?

  • We reuse and recycle

We have believed that there is an afterlife for our computer equipment. And we have believed that it is possible to reduce our residual waste from year to year.

    1. 100% of electronic and computer equipment that we no longer need will either be donated to voluntary organizations/schools, sold or recycled.
    2. We sort all waste according to the waste fractions where we are located.
  • We work for a really good working environment

    1. We will have 0% work-related absence
    2. We have zero tolerance for bullying.
    3. We collaborate and have fun together at work
    4. Physical activity is good for the body and brain. That’s why we exercise both during and outside of our working hours.
    5. Good and fair pay
    6. Annual performance reviews
    7. We have an annual “no talking about work trip” together.
    8. We will have professional inspiration trips together at least once a year.
    9. We regularly conduct competence development for everyone who wants it.
    10. People have different needs at different stages of life, and have different prerequisites for how they perform best. That’s why we are a flexible workplace that facilitates different ways of working – both in terms of time, place and number of working days per week.
    11. We know that many people appreciate being able to relax during important holidays. That’s why everyone at Zeos has paid time off for both Christmas and Easter.
  • We support and develop local communities.

We will be a rural developer that works for increased value creation in small and large local communities.

    1. We always prioritize assignments from businesses that can develop the local community as a whole.
    2. We collaborate with local businesses
    3. We sponsor local teams and organizations where we are located – especially those that contribute to one or more of the sustainability dimensions.
    4. We annually sponsor student companies that have a sustainability focus with consulting or design lessons.
  • We choose as sustainable and short-haul as possible.

Short-haul deliveries are good for both the climate and environmental dimension and the social dimension of sustainability.

    1. We always choose local suppliers and partners whenever we can.
    2. We prioritize suppliers who deliver on sustainability over suppliers who cannot document efforts and results.
    3. Norwegian and sustainable production
  • We help customers make sustainable choices

    1. Websites provided by us will always be hosted on United Kingdom’s servers, powered by clean, renewable energy.
    2. We work to deliver as many green websites as possible with a low carbon footprint.
    3. We encourage our customers to choose physical products made from recycled and recyclable materials produced by suppliers who deliver on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
    4. We have a pricing policy that will favor UK printing companies with a low carbon footprint.
    5. We will have the expertise to be a sparring partner in parts of the process for companies that want to work purposefully with sustainable product and service innovation.
  • We do not travel unnecessarily fossil

All company cars must be electric cars

    1. We always travel by bicycle, bus, train, or other non-fossil vehicles when possible, and we measure the number of kilometers driven by fossil-fueled cars on work trips and to/from home/work.
  • We work for equality and inclusion.

He, she, it or ice is all the same to us. All people are of equal value, and everyone has something good to contribute – regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, level of education, illnesses, ailments and life experience.

    1. We see the potential in people with gaping CVs and tough life experiences.
    2. We work to get the largest possible range of good people with both short and long education, long work experience, zero work experience and high or low age.
    3. We must have a minimum of 50% female representation on the board.
  • We set green standards for our customers.

As a rural developer, we know that sustainability is essential for the development of our local community. Therefore, we will prioritize businesses that focus on green growth over businesses that are founded on gray growth.

    1. We prioritize businesses that can demonstrate sustainability results and that are actively working towards specific sustainability goals.
    2. We refuse assignments from clients whose business model we believe clearly violates the UK’s Sustainable Development Goals.
    3. We help our clients communicate honestly and fairly about their sustainability efforts, so that they avoid engaging in conscious or unconscious greenwashing.
  • We disseminate knowledge about sustainability

We will disseminate knowledge about how businesses can achieve greater value creation by working with sustainability. We do this in meetings with customers, professional articles, podcasts and lectures.

  • We promote sustainable innovation.

We will be an active sparring partner, advisor and driver for businesses to develop a culture for working with sustainable innovation – both the small everyday innovations and the larger innovation processes that can result in new business models .
